Summary/Objective

The Quality Control Laboratory Technician is responsible for supporting Quality Control laboratory operation through performing basic laboratory tasks, sample analysis, and assisting Analysts as required.


Essential Functions

  • Ensures Quality Control laboratory is clean and organized
  • Maintains stock of clean glassware for all Quality Control requirements
  • Monitors and re-stocks supplies as required
  • Stores and files samples in the cold room according to established conventions
  • Maintains equipment calibration
  • Performs material testing
  • Supports sensory evaluation process
  • Manages expired inventory process
  • Understands and follows standard operating procedures
  • Performs data entry

Supervisory responsibilities

  • Assist any laboratory interns through training and guiding daily tasks


Other duties

  • Trains new lab technicians and intern as required
  • Accomplishes special projects and laboratory tasks as assigned

Travel requirements

  • Occasional travel between facilities

Required education and experience

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree in Chemistry or other Natural Science
