Job description

As a key leader in KPI's Lifetime Services team, the Regional Maintenance Manager drives maintenance excellence across multiple sites where KPI is contractually managing maintenance programs, ensuring optimal performance of assets and alignment with our mission to provide innovative solutions that empower clients to achieve higher performance. The role emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and accountability in delivering tailored solutions that inspire confidence and trust among our clients and teams.

Guided by KPI's core values: Safety, Integrity, Transparency, Teamwork, Empathy, and Accountability-the Regional Manager fosters a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement while pursuing the right solutions to enhance operational efficiency. This individual will lead multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with client needs, delivering exceptional results, and upholding our commitment to safety and innovation.

Management of Support documentation, Root Cause Analysis reviews, Incident Resolution Management and Escalation, Schedule Compliance and contractual Key Performance Indicators. You will oversee technician career training and reviews, Supervisor Training and reviews, other site and customer specific functions as needed to support the Lifetime Services organization, creating a working schedule that supports their team's work life balance and training needs, remotely.

In this role you will manage Resident Maintenance Facility Technicians directly across multiple sites. The operational effectiveness, execution of contractual obligations and launch or acquisition sites within your region.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and guide a diverse team of Facility Maintenance Technicians, fostering safety, accountability, teamwork, customer support and empathy.
  • Promote training programs that inspire creativity and innovation while ensuring adherence to safety and operational excellence.
  • Build a culture of trust and collaboration to enhance employee satisfaction and career growth.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure seamless execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs, maximizing equipment uptime and minimizing downtime.
  • Perform root-cause analysis to identify and address recurring issues, fostering a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Oversee resource allocation, ensuring efficiency and accountability in all operations.

Client Partnership & Relationship Management

  • Act as a trusted partner to clients, understanding their needs and providing innovative, tailored solutions to ensure operational success.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to align with client expectations and performance metrics.
  • Maintain transparency in all communications, building client trust and satisfaction.

Safety & Compliance

  • Uphold KPI's commitment to safety by enforcing rigorous safety protocols and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Lead safety training programs and conduct regular audits to proactively mitigate risks.

Strategic & Financial Management

  • Manage contractual budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals of the P&L.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high service quality.
  • Leverage innovative technologies, including CMMS platforms, to track performance and optimize processes.

Continuous Improvement

  • Champion the relentless pursuit of the right solutions by encouraging creative problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve service delivery.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration with automation management experience (or equivalent experience).

Experience

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in maintenance management or similar roles, with experience in preventive maintenance systems, automation technologies (AMR, AGV), and facilities management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-site operations and lead high-performing teams.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to inspire creativity in finding solutions.
  • Proficiency in CMMS platforms, Microsoft Office tools, and technical expertise in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and foster teamwork.
  • Understanding and experience in administering a Preventive Maintenance Program.
  • MS Office tools and applications (SharePoint, Teams, Office, etc.)

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This can vary based on region and customer base in the area however, ideally, would have fewer than 8 direct reports. Responsible for the following: Oversee Facility Maintenance Technicians and sites, fostering accountability and empathy.
  • Manage team schedules, performance reviews, and career progression while promoting safety and operational excellence.

Other Requirements/Comments

  • Must be local to the region and available to work on-call hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and perform other physical duties as required.
  • Work requires ability to identify and distinguish colors, depth perception, eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
