Job description

Who We Are:

Bandwidth, a prior "Best of EC" award winner, is a global software company that helps enterprises deliver exceptional experiences through voice, messaging, and emergency services. Reaching 65+ countries and over 90 percent of the global economy, we're the only provider offering an owned communications cloud that delivers advanced automation, AI integrations, global reach, and premium human support. Bandwidth is trusted for mission-critical communications by the Global 2000, hyperscalers, and SaaS builders!

At Bandwidth, your music matters when you are part of the BAND.  We celebrate differences and encourage BANDmates to be their authentic selves.  #jointheband

What We Are Looking For:

Bandwidth is seeking a data-driven, collaborative, and detail-oriented individual to join the Messaging Product Operations team. The Product Analyst will focus heavily on recurring and ad hoc reporting, data analysis, and transforming data into insights that improve operational efficiency. This role blends technical skills with knowledge management, the ability to communicate findings clearly, and work effectively with teams across the organization. A successful Product Analyst involves a career path with promotional opportunities into Product Management, Business Operations, or further advancement within Product Operations.

As a Product Analyst at Bandwidth, your primary focus will be using data to support and optimize Messaging product performance and improving operational efficiency. You will build and maintain reporting, identify operational opportunities through analysis, and help create scalable internal processes and tools. While the role is technical, you will also collaborate with internal teams to share insights and support product readiness in a clear and approachable way. You may also be asked to contribute to Messaging's knowledge management through documentation and collaborating on internal and external communications.

What You'll Do:

  • Data Reporting and Analysis - Own recurring and ad hoc reporting related to product performance, operational metrics, and customer usage. Use Excel and SQL to extract, clean, and analyze data, and present findings to stakeholders in ways that inform product and operational decisions. Data will primarily be pulled from our data warehouse, Snowflake, and reported through spreadsheets, slide decks, or visuals in our BI tool (Sigma).
  • Improve Operational Processes - Use data to identify inefficiencies or gaps in internal processes. Contribute to the development of workflows that support product launches, issue identification, ongoing product health and operational readiness. Support automation opportunities when identified.
  • Build Operational Tools and Dashboards - Create spreadsheets, reporting templates, and dashboards that provide visibility into product and operational performance.
  • Collaborative Insights Sharing - Communicate insights and patterns from data to internal teams in a way that is understandable to both technical and nontechnical audiences. Build relationships with partners in Product, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to ensure shared understanding and alignment around findings.
  • Issue Investigation - Analyze productrelated data to understand trends, identify root causes, and highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Be a great communicator - work well with customers and internal teams. Have proven written, verbal and listening skills to help solve complex problems using tact, common courtesy, persuasion and discretion.
  • Develop subject matter knowledge in Messaging products and the supporting ecosystem.
  • Contribute to internal and external knowledge management with a focus on documentation for data workflows, reporting processes, and analysis methods.
  • Be a great team member, partner with Bandmates to effectively communicate, ask insightful questions, align resources, prioritize work, and identify themes or patterns to persistently and proactively provide self-service solutions whenever and wherever possible.

What You Need:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience:
    • Entry level
  • Knowledge:
    • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, formula building, and data manipulation
    • Proficiency in SQL, including querying, filtering, joining, and aggregating data
    • Ability to transform raw data into insights and presentations that support operational and product decisions
    • Strong skills in spreadsheets, documentation, and presentation building
    • Ability to work with high accuracy in a fastpaced environment while managing multiple tasks
    • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and organizational skills with attention to detail
    • Critical thinker with a solutionoriented approach
    • Strong written communication skills with the ability to clearly summarize data findings, including the ability to adapt based on audience
    • Ability to build positive working relationships across teams

Bonus Points:

  • Skills:
    • Familiarity with Python

The Whole Person Promise:

At Bandwidth, we're pretty proud of our corporate culture, which is rooted in our "Whole Person Promise." We promise all employees that they can have meaningful work AND a full life, and we provide a work environment geared toward enriching your body, mind, and spirit. How do we do that? Well...

  • 100% company-paid Medical, Vision, & Dental coverage for you and your family with low deductibles and low out-of-pocket expenses.
  • All new hires receive four weeks of PTO.
  • PTO Embargo. When you take time off (of any kind!) you're embargoed from working. Bandmates and managers are not allowed to interrupt your PTO - not even with email.
  • Additional PTO can be earned throughout the year through volunteer hours and Bandwidth challenges.
  • "Mahalo moments" program grants additional time off for life's most important moments like graduations, buying a first home, getting married, wedding anniversaries (every five years), and the birth of a grandchild.
  • 90-Minute Workout Lunches and unlimited meetings with our very own nutritionist.

Are you excited about the position and its responsibilities, but not sure if you're 100% qualified? Do you feel you can work to help us crush the mission? If you answered 'yes' to both of these questions, we encourage you to apply! You won't want to miss the opportunity to be a part of the BAND.
