Position Overview:

The Technical Transformation Manager is responsible for driving the successful adoption and integration of new technologies and processes within SECU. As part of a dynamic team, this position works cross-functionally to bridge the gap between business units, operations, and IT, ensuring that all technical initiatives align with the organization's strategic goals. This role is focused on optimizing processes, implementing effective solutions, and driving operational efficiency through system conversions and transformation to improve member experience, service delivery, and overall organizational performance with a focus on deposit accounts and systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • (30%) Provide leadership and guidance to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology enhancements with a focus in deposit accounts and operations processes. Develop and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiencies, streamline workflows, increase productivity, and enhance the overall employee and member experience.
  • (20%) Manage and mentor the Technology Transformation team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous technical improvement, while aligning day-to-day activities with the strategic direction set by the SVP of Technical Transformation.
  • (20%) Partner with business leaders, IT, and project managers to understand project requirements, scope, and objectives. Translate business needs into actionable plans and facilitate communication between non-technical and technical teams.
  • (20%) Lead in the planning, execution, and monitoring of technical transformation projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
  • (10%) Act as liaison between technical and operations teams

Required Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • 6+ years of financial services experience
  • 1+ years direct experience in a lead or mentor role
  • Experience with bank or credit union core systems
  • Experience with bank or credit union mergers and conversions
  • Experience working with IT and Operation teams in the financial industry
  • High degree of written and verbal communication skills, professionalism, and good organizational skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to speak English fluently
  • Highly member service oriented
  • Highly collaborative

Preferred Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with managing technical aspects of deposit account and CIF related banking systems
  • 3+ years of experience managing people and/or large-scale projects

  • Travel to conferences as needed
