Summary:

The Knowledge Management Specialist is responsible for creating, organizing, and managing AFSOC/A2's knowledge assets to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Knowledge Organization: Develop and maintain systems for capturing, organizing, and sharing knowledge within the AFSOC intelligence ecosystem. This includes creating databases, repositories, and documentation processes to ensure information is easily accessible and up-to-date.
  • Collaboration and Training: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify knowledge gaps and implement solutions. Conduct training sessions and create user manuals to facilitate effective knowledge sharing among intelligence personnel.
  • Strategy Development: Design and implement strategies for effective knowledge management that align to AFSOC/A2's goals. This includes conducting regular audits of knowledge assets to ensure relevance and accuracy.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze knowledge management metrics to assess the effectiveness of systems and identify areas for improvement. Use this data to inform decision-making and enhance knowledge management practices.
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to Contractors in accessing and utilizing knowledge management resources. Address any issues related to information management and ensure smooth operation of knowledge systems.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of emerging technologies in knowledge management, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent executive-level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess and manage large amounts of information effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in information science, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years hands-on knowledge management, information management, or a related field.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
