Job Summary:
Freedom Technology Solutions Group, LLC is seeking a Junior Software Developer to support essential services and mission critical activities across the enterprise. The role involves contributing to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of modern front-end applications and participating in the full software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
• Join an established, high-performing team responsible for the sustainment, enhancement, and modernization of mission-critical security applications that support essential operational functions across the enterprise.
• Contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of modern front-end applications utilizing technologies such as JavaScript, AngularJS, Vue.js, and Node.js.
• Collaborate with developers, technical leads, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-focused solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and production support.
• Help identify opportunities to improve system functionality, performance, and user experience.
• Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will be challenged to solve complex technical problems, implement system enhancements, and support modernization initiatives that directly impact mission success.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects while balancing independent work with collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Engage with technical leads and team members to evaluate emerging technologies, improve development practices, and support the ongoing evolution of critical sustainment systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
• An active security clearance with polygraph.
• A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and three (3) years of experience in software development/engineering. Seven (7) years of experience in software development/engineering may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Experience working with front-end technologies including JavaScript
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Experience developing and updating technical documentation
Preferred:
• Experience working with the AWS Platform
• Experience working in an Agile Development Team
• Experience working with Git for source code management
• Experience with Node.js, AngularJS, Angular, VueJS or comparable JavaScript frameworks/libraries
• Experience with GOTS products
• Experience with EngineX
