This role supports multiple defense-oriented projects and requires excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. Candidates who enjoy taking ownership, improving processes, and learning new technical domains will thrive.
Who We Are
Sonalysts, Inc. is a small, 100% employee-owned business (ESOP) supporting diverse customers across the Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Army, and other defense and commercial sectors. Our employees come from military, technical, analytical, and creative backgrounds-and all contribute to solving the defense industry's most complex challenges. As an employee-owner, you will have a voice in shaping both your work and the company's direction.
What You Will Be Doing
You will provide both administrative support and analytical assistance to project managers and technical teams. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Program & Project Support
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and internal/external events, including agendas, logistics, action tracking, and facility preparation.
  • Manage visit requests, access requests, closed-area training, and other security-related administrative actions.
  • Support contract deliverable management: tracking deliverable requirements and periodicity, compiling monthly reports, and ensuring timely submissions.
  • Maintain project calendars, repositories, checklists, procedures, and documentation libraries.
  • Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to streamline work process and improve the speed of deliverables.
Analytical & Operational Tasks
  • Monitor financial and funding data, including contract cost tracking.
  • Develop and update basic project metrics.
  • Track team workload, hours, trainings, onboarding actions, and other programmatic performance data.
  • Update schedules, lessons learned, project management content, and other project artifacts.
Technical Editing & Documentation
  • Edit technical reports and format documents using Microsoft Office and other typical tools.
  • Assist with organization and management of technical libraries and document repositories.
  • Support meetings by attending, note-taking, and tracking actions, with opportunities to expand technical knowledge.
Business Development & Hiring Support
  • Update opportunity trackers, proposal schedules, and related business development tools.
  • Provide proposal editing support prior to technical review.
  • Assist with job ad tracking, candidate coordination, and onboarding tasks including checklists and computer/access requests.
What's in It for You
  • Salary ranges between $65,000-$125,000, dependent on experience, qualifications and other relevant business criteria.
  • The opportunity to grow from a junior analyst into larger project roles.
  • Hands-on experience with real-world defense projects and innovative technical teams.
  • Becoming an integral part of an innovative employee-owned company which includes:
    • Flexible Time Program enabling an optimal work-life balance by permitting partners to arrange their work around personal appointments, parent-teacher conferences, children's activities and the like, so long as the partner gets the job done on-time.
    • Paid Time Off
    • 401(k) Plan with company match
    • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
    • Sales Bonus Program
    • Special Performance and Retention Bonus Program
    • Health and Dental Insurance
