Job description

DMF Lighting is a fast-growing leader in the lighting industry, always hard at work engineering what comes next. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Jr. Order Entry Specialist (temp role) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in processing and managing orders accurately and efficiently. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


  • Pay rate: $20/hr.
  • Location: onsite in Carson, CA
  • This is a temporary role


Key Responsibilities:

1. Process incoming orders accurately and promptly.

2. Review orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

3. Enter order details, including product specifications, quantities, pricing, and shipping information, into the company's ERP system.

4. Coordinate with sales representatives and other departments to resolve order discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.

5. Communicate order status, tracking information, and delivery schedules to internal stakeholders as needed.

6. Maintain organized and up-to-date order records, including Purchase Orders and related documentation.

7. Collaborate with the Order Fulfillment team to ensure timely fulfillment and delivery of orders.

8. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements within the order entry function.


Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

- Previous experience in order entry, customer service, or a related field is preferred.

- Proficiency in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with others.

- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle challenging situations with composure.
