Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Operations Project Management, the Project Manager, Repower is responsible for the planning, delivery, and execution of repowering projects across TerraForm Power's renewable energy portfolio (primarily wind, with exposure to solar and storage as applicable).
This role will manage the full lifecycle of repower projects, from early-stage planning and engineering through construction execution and closeout, working closely with internal stakeholders and external contractors to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on project management experience in renewable energy or power generation, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and navigate high-impact, large-scale investment project environments.
Travel: Approximately 25%-50% depending on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Execution & Delivery
    • Manage repower projects from planning through execution, commissioning, and closeout
    • Coordinate engineering consultants, OEMs, and construction contractors to ensure successful project delivery
    • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, contracts, schedule, and budget
    • Identify risks and recommend corrective actions to maintain project performance
    • Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency that lead to improved project outcomes
  • Planning, Procurement & Contracting
    • Support development of project scopes, schedules, and budgets
    • Prepare and support tendering processes, including bid evaluation and contractor selection
    • Partner with Procurement and Legal teams on contract negotiations (EPC, supply agreements, etc.)
    • Track project costs, change orders, and forecasts
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
    • Collaborate with internal teams including Engineering, Operations, HSSE, Finance, and Development
    • Support development of business cases and capital planning for repower investments
    • Coordinate with site teams to align construction activities with ongoing operations
    • Lead projects through successful handover to Operations
  • Health, Safety & Environmental (HSSE)
    • Ensure all contractors comply with TerraForm Power's HSSE policies and regulatory requirements
    • Participate in safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and safe work observations
    • Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities
  • Project Oversight & Reporting
    • Conduct site visits and field inspections to monitor progress and quality of work
    • Lead or participate in pre-construction and progress meetings
    • Prepare regular and ad-hoc project reporting covering safety, schedule, cost, risk, and opportunity
    • Evaluate contractor performance throughout project lifecycle and provide feedback/direction as required
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Support technical due diligence for repower and M&A opportunities
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes
    • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Solid understanding of construction and project management principles

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of project management, operations, or engineering experience
  • Experience in renewable energy (wind preferred; solar, BESS, or power generation a plus)
  • Exposure to repower projects or retrofit/upgrade work is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with construction practices, permitting, and regulatory requirements
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools

Compensation: $95,000 - $115, 000 USD; bonus eligible
