Job Title: Senior Capital Projects Portfolio Manager (Industrial Infrastructure)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Capital Projects Portfolio Manager to lead a dynamic portfolio of high-value infrastructure projects. You will act as the primary owner for a suite of 20+ concurrent industrial construction initiatives, ensuring that every project-from initial scoping to final commissioning-meets our rigorous standards for budget, schedule, and quality.
This role is the bridge between internal engineering/operations teams and our most critical external industrial clients. We are looking for a project leader who is comfortable facilitating high-stakes construction meetings, navigating complex stakeholder relationships, and maintaining the financial health of a multi-million dollar portfolio. Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Governance & Execution
• End-to-End Ownership: Oversee a diverse portfolio of 20+ concurrent construction/infrastructure projects. You are responsible for the total lifecycle-ensuring scope, budget, and timeline are met at every phase.
• Stakeholder Orchestration: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal staff and external clients. Build high-trust relationships that facilitate clear, transparent, and collaborative decision-making.
• Financial Stewardship: Manage the financial health of your portfolio. Track budget burn rates, forecast capital expenditures, and ensure that every project delivers its intended return on investment.
Project Leadership
• Meeting Facilitation: Lead and facilitate large-scale construction coordination meetings, ensuring that technical and operational teams remain aligned, accountable, and on-schedule.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks-particularly regarding material procurement, site conditions, and scheduling bottlenecks-and implement mitigation strategies before they impact the project's success.
• Process Standardization: Develop and refine project management best practices to ensure that best-in-class methodologies are applied consistently across the entire portfolio.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience Baseline: Proven experience in large-scale construction or industrial infrastructure project management.
• Portfolio Mastery: Demonstrated success in managing a high volume of concurrent projects (20+).
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to translate complex technical/construction schedules into clear updates for executive stakeholders.
• Organizational Rigor: Superior ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and manage resources across multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Attributes
• Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent professional credentials.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to read construction drawings, understand permit/zoning requirements, and navigate the typical lifecycle of industrial infrastructure delivery.
