Job Summary:
Vertiv is a global critical infrastructure and data center technology company, and they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager for complex projects within the IT Digital Transformation organization. The IT Project Manager will lead and deliver technology initiatives focused on transforming IT and business through process efficiencies, data, and AI, ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget.
Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional, global IT projects from initiation through delivery
• Accountable for planning and execution tasks, including, but not limited to, scope, scheduling, budgeting, resource, risk and issue management.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, clear effective status reports, RAID logs, and executive dashboards
• Facilitate project governance, steering committee reviews, and stakeholder communications
• Partner with business and IT leaders to align project objectives with organizational strategy
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across infrastructure, applications, security, and business teams
• Identify, escalate, and resolve project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively
• Proactively engages stakeholders, providing timely, relevant, and transparent project status.
• Produce executive-level program updates as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to IT governance frameworks, change management processes, and compliance requirements
• Contribute to PMO best practices and continuous improvement
• Support portfolio-level reporting and resource capacity planning
Qualifications:
Required:
• 7–10+ years of progressive IT project and/or program management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, complex IT projects (e.g. digital transformation, software development, system implementation, ERP, cloud, enterprise applications)
• Strong proficiency in project management methodologies: Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., ServiceNow SPM, Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent)
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills — written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Experience managing multimillion dollar project budgets
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Highly motivated self-starter who can initiate action and follow through with well-defined solutions and action plans.
Preferred:
• PMP certification (Project Management Professional), Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP)
• Familiarity with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) or similar enterprise PPM platforms
• Experience in global or matrixed organizations
• Background in ERP, cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, or digital transformation programs
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecyle process.
• Excellent presentation skills; can adjust presentation to the audience level. Comfortable presenting to small and large groups at all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills. Must be highly effective at leading people and facilitating rapid change in a consistent and structured manner.
• Ability to demonstrate process development and management practices.
