We are currently seeking a Jr. IT Project Manager to join our team in Arlington, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

Job Summary:

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT projects that align with the Client’s mission to provide innovative, reliable, and secure technology solutions. This role involves managing projects within the Government-approved scope, budget, schedule, and risk parameters by leveraging industry-standard project management methodologies. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with the Government and integrated project teams to foster communication, ensure alignment, and promote a collaborative work environment. They will track and manage all IT projects in a centralized repository to streamline reporting and provide visibility into project status. Additionally, the Project Manager will ensure the delivery of comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including governance documentation, and will facilitate transition activities as projects move into Operations and Maintenance (O&M). By providing end-user training and ensuring a smooth handoff, the Project Manager will set the customer up for long-term success. This role is critical to supporting the Client’s IT Division in delivering mission-critical, enterprise-wide IT services and resources to over 8,500 users across 450+ locations globally. 

Job Duties: 

  • Manage assigned infrastructure projects (e.g. upgrades to networking, mobility, security, cloud, and enterprise software) from intake through delivery, client acceptance, and closure.
  • Maintain accurate project information, status, and forecasts in Jira.
  • Coordinate teams and stakeholders to keep project work moving, resolve impediments, and ensure quality.
  • Serve as a point of contact for government stakeholders, providing regular communication on project status, decisions, and delivery expectations.
  • Monitor WIP, aging, dependencies, and risks to ensure the flow of work.
  • Align project priorities, milestones, and acceptance criteria with delivery commitments.
  • Support production implementations through established change control and configuration management processes.
  • Help team members effectively contribute to project delivery.
  • Escalate cross-team dependencies and issues requiring portfolio-level attention.
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting project management/quality control roles and responsibilities
  • Bachelor's degree, One-and-one- half (1.5) years of additional experience can substitute for one (1) year of a typical degree program.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $78,948 - $164,476. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. If the position offered in temporary, the position will not be eligible for incentive compensation. This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short and long term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
