We are looking for a motivated and people-focused HR Generalist to join our growing Human Resources team.
About the role
The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day Human Resources operations. This position is responsible for coordinating HR processes, maintaining employee records, supporting recruiting and onboarding, administering leave programs, assisting with payroll and benefits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering an exceptional employee experience.
What you'll do
  • HR Operations & Employee Support
  • Coordinate meetings across departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Respond to employee inquiries through email and the HR ticketing system, providing guidance or directing employees to the appropriate resources.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for daily HR functions.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.

Recruiting & Onboarding
  • Support non-exempt recruitment by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Conduct new hire orientations for warehouse employees.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire documentation, exit paperwork, and system access for hourly employees.

Employee Records & HR Systems
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR records.
  • Update employee information in the HRIS, including promotions, transfers, department changes, and other employment updates.
  • Ensure HRIS data accuracy and assist with ongoing system maintenance.

Leave Administration
  • Administer and track employee leave programs, including PTO, FMLA, and other leaves of absence.
  • Communicate leave updates with managers, employees, payroll, and benefits providers.
  • Maintain accurate leave documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Payroll & Benefits
  • Support payroll processing by reviewing employee data and assisting with payroll corrections.
  • Assist with employee benefits enrollment, qualifying life event changes, and employee questions.
  • Partner with payroll and benefits vendors to ensure timely and accurate processing.

Reporting & HR Projects
  • Prepare employee census reports and monthly HR metrics.
  • Support HR audits, compliance initiatives, and special projects.
  • Assist the HR Manager with process improvements and departmental initiatives.

Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Assist in planning and coordinating employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and company events.
  • Support initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems and Google Workspace, particularly Google sheets.
  • Familiarity with payroll, benefits administration, FMLA, and leave management.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
