Job description

Job Summary:

The Senior IT Systems Engineer - Endpoint is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise IT infrastructure with a focus on Microsoft 365, Exchange, SCCM/Microsoft Configuration Manager and Active Directory environments. This role ensures reliable and secure operations across corporate systems, supports modernization initiatives, and contributes to the strategic planning and execution of IT services company-wide.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Purview and related systems.

Manage on-premises/hybrid Exchange environments, including migrations, mail flow, transport rules, and security configurations.

Manage and administer SCCM (Configuration Manager) for software deployment, patch management, compliance baselines, and Windows imaging.

Support administration of other Masimo managed applications on the System Team.

Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell) to streamline system management and reporting.

Support and enhance identity and access management integrations (Azure AD, SSO, MFA, conditional access).

Drive standardization of endpoint configurations through Group Policy, Configuration Baselines, and Intune device configuration profiles.

Collaborate with security and network teams to ensure systems meet compliance, performance, and security standards.

Provide tier-3 escalation support and mentorship to junior engineers and service desk teams.

Participate in system upgrades, lifecycle management, and disaster recovery planning.

Document system designs, configurations, and procedures to support operational excellence.

Performing other duties or special projects as assigned

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

8 years of experience in enterprise IT systems engineering, with emphasis on Microsoft platforms.

Strong expertise in all aspects of Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Purview and related systems), Exchange on-premises, and SCCM (Configuration Manager).

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.

Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and Windows Server administration.

Familiarity with endpoint management, mobile device management, and security baselines.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to manage complex, cross-functional technical initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE, or newer Microsoft Azure/365 Certifications

Experience with other endpoint management systems such as Automox, PatchMyPC, Lansweeper, etc

Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or SOX

Familiarity with Jira ticketing/project management system

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Compensation: The anticipated range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 10% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance.

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Frequent lifting of equipment up to 60lbs. Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver's license is required.
