Job description

RTS is an enthusiast culture company that builds at the intersection of gaming, creators, and brands. From global live events to bespoke branded content, we exist to create meaningful connections between fans and the worlds they love. Our team brings deep expertise across partnership sales and marketing, talent management, event production, media, community building, and IP development.
About Evo
For over 20 years, The Evolution Championship Series (Evo), has produced the largest and longest-running fighting game tournament conventions in the world. Our events are rallying points where fans, publishers, developers, and brands celebrate fighting games and the communities that love them. Beyond our established live events, Evo's mission continues to evolve to create, celebrate, and renew fighting game fandom.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Junior Graphic Designer with strong design fundamentals and a sharp visual sensibility to support the RTS creative team, with a primary focus on presentation and sales materials.
This role will work closely with the RTS sales team to design, refine, and maintain polished presentation decks used for sales meetings, pitches, proposals, and client-facing communications. The ideal candidate is someone who understands how typography, layout, composition, hierarchy, imagery, and visual consistency work together to communicate information clearly and persuasively.
While this is a junior-level role, we're looking for someone who can bring a strong design point of view and a high level of attention to detail to their work. You should be comfortable taking existing content and transforming it into a clean, compelling presentation, while also being able to work within established brand systems and templates.
You will also support Evo and other RTS creative needs, including templated graphics, digital assets, and other design production as needed.
This is an excellent opportunity for a designer early in their career who wants hands-on experience working at the intersection of design, sales, esports, and entertainment, while developing their skills across a range of creative projects.
Reporting Structure
You will report to Evo's Creative Director.
Key Responsibilities
  • RTS Sales & Presentation Design
    • Design, refine, and maintain presentation decks for RTS sales meetings, pitches, proposals, and other business needs.
    • Translate written information, data, and sales messaging into clear, visually compelling presentation layouts.
    • Create and maintain presentation templates and deck themes, ensuring consistency across multiple presentations and projects.
    • Develop and update slide layouts, visual systems, charts, graphics, and other presentation elements.
    • Create mockups and visual representations of proposed campaigns, partnerships, sponsorships, and other client-facing concepts.
    • Work closely with the Sales team to understand project goals, incorporate feedback, and adapt presentations to meet specific client or pitch needs.
    • Maintain a high level of consistency, polish, and attention to detail across presentation materials.
    • Organize and manage presentation assets, templates, and source files so they remain easy to update and reuse.
  • Evo & General Creative Support
    • Support the creative team with design and asset production for Evo events and other RTS projects.
    • Create and update templated digital assets, including broadcast graphics, YouTube thumbnails, and other high-volume creative deliverables.
    • Adapt existing creative systems and templates to efficiently produce polished, consistent assets.
    • Support additional design and production needs as projects and priorities evolve.

Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of graphic design experience, or equivalent experience through internships, freelance work, personal projects, or other relevant creative work.
  • A strong design portfolio demonstrating excellent fundamentals and a thoughtful visual approach.
  • Proficiency in Google Slides and the broader Google Workspace/G Suite, including Google Docs, Sheets, and Drive.
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, composition, hierarchy, spacing, and general graphic design principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for visual consistency and polish.
  • Ability to take complex or information-heavy content and organize it into clear, easy-to-understand visual presentations.
  • Ability to work within established brand guidelines while making thoughtful design decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback, asking questions, and iterating on work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to the needs of different teams and projects.
  • Comfortable working closely with the RTS sales team and responding to evolving project needs and feedback.
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to ask for direction or clarification.

Bonus Points
  • Experience designing presentation decks, sales materials, proposals, or other client-facing communications.
  • Experience creating or maintaining presentation templates and visual systems.
  • Experience working with high-volume or templated creative production.
  • Familiarity with Figma.
  • Knowledge of or interest in esports, fighting games, gaming, or the FGC.
  • General familiarity with the esports and gaming industry.

Compensation
The salary for this role is $45,000.00 to $60,000.00 depending on experience.
Benefits

  • 401k plan available for employee contributions
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Generous PTO and company-observed holidays
  • Remote-first culture

The pay range for this role is:
45,000 - 60,000 USD per year (Greater Los Angeles Area, Greater Bay Area, or Greater Las Vegas Area Only (Remote))
