Job description

Our client is seeking a technically proficient electrical engineering professional to support production and supplier operations for complex electronic and electro‑mechanical systems. The selected candidate will apply foundational engineering principles to assess hardware issues, perform structured troubleshooting, support technical data management, and coordinate corrective actions in a disciplined, process‑driven environment. This position requires strong analytical capability, clear technical communication, and adherence to established engineering and configuration‑control standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct timely technical assessments of production and supplier‑related issues, identifying required information, determining resource needs, and establishing appropriate troubleshooting and resolution paths.
Develop and execute structured corrective‑action plans to address hardware, process, or test anomalies.
Communicate technical status, investigative results, and planned actions to cross‑functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment and documentation throughout the issue‑resolution lifecycle.
Maintain and update the technical data package, including preparation and modification of engineering change documentation within cPDM or equivalent systems.
Present engineering change packages to internal review boards for evaluation and approval.
Analyze defect, yield, and process data to identify trends and recommend improvements supporting production reliability and efficiency.
Perform electrical troubleshooting and verification activities on complex hardware using laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, power supplies, and spectrum/network analyzers.
Participate in formal engineering peer reviews to support design integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Provide general engineering support for production and test operations as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a junior electrical engineer or equivalent technical experience as an electrical technician with an electrical engineering degree.
Hands‑on experience with digital, analog, RF, or mixed‑signal systems.
Demonstrated experience performing Root‑Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities.
Experience supporting manufacturing or test operations involving electronic assemblies.
Proficiency in interpreting schematics, circuit card layouts, and bills of materials.
Familiarity with use of standard laboratory instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, programmable power supplies, and RF analysis tools.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
Desired Qualifications
Prior production support engineering experience in environments involving electronic assemblies, complex CCAs, RF systems, EO systems, sensors/seekers, or other electronic subsystems.
Experience with electrical engineering design processes, test automation scripting, PCB fabrication, or supplier test‑equipment support.
Proficiency with tools such as Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, CST, Microwave Design Studio, HFSS, ADS, and advanced RF/lab instrumentation.
Experience with subsystem integration and test, post‑test analysis, and application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods for yield improvement.
Strong technical writing and presentation skills, including experience preparing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and detailed technical documentation.
Ability to work independently and within small technical teams, contributing to planning, technical oversight, cost estimation, progress tracking, and reporting activities.
