Junior Developer / Microsoft 365 Systems Specialist
CSEngineering is seeking a Junior Developer / Microsoft 365 Systems Specialist to support the DoW and CSE Headquarters. The candidate will develop, enhance, integrate, and support secure web applications while assisting with Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint management, identity and access management, cloud services, and technical support activities. This position requires collaboration with government customers, contractors, developers, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders. The role follows a hybrid work arrangement and requires the ability to work effectively in both remote and office environments. Occasional after-hours support may be required for deployments, production incidents, and scheduled maintenance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure web applications using HTML, CSS, Python, Django, JavaScript and Go/Golang.
  • Develop, consume, document, and troubleshoot RESTful APIs and integrations with Microsoft and identity services.
  • Support the Navy JAG Website and Wagtail CMS, including templates, workflows, permissions, publishing, and user accounts.
  • Use Azure DevOps for source control, work tracking, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments.
  • Support relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL, including queries and troubleshooting.
  • Administer users, groups, roles, permissions, and application access in Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
  • Support SSO and identity integrations using Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, CAC/PIV, and Navy Identity Service.
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and assist with workstation setup and deployment.
  • Support CSE Headquarters with day-to-day IT operations, including desktop support, software installations, printer support, conference room technology, and general technical assistance.
  • Assist with Microsoft Intune device enrollment, compliance policies, application deployment, configuration profiles, and endpoint troubleshooting.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in software development, full-stack development, application support, or a related technical role. Relevant internships, certifications, and substantial project experience may be considered.
  • Hands-on experience developing applications using Python and Django.
  • Working knowledge of Java and Go/Golang, with practical experience in at least one.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience using Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar development platforms.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, and SharePoint Online.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming, secure software development, source control, testing, and debugging methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and collaborate with technical and functional teams.
  • Must be able to support federal or Department of Defense systems and customers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Wagtail CMS or other Django-based enterprise CMS platforms.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Azure or Azure Government environments.
  • Familiarity with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Dataverse.
  • Experience with SharePoint Online administration and Microsoft Graph API.
  • Knowledge of Docker OR containerized applications
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment automation.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python automation, or Linux administration.
  • Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, CAC/PIV, and certificate-based authentication.
  • Microsoft, cloud, development, security, or CompTIA certifications.
