HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Designing, developing, coding, testing, and debugging complex new software products, and making significant enhancements to existing software.

  • Integrating design strategies, product specifications, development schedules, and user expectations into product capabilities.

  • Resolving complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.

  • Researching emerging technologies to determine impact on application execution.

  • Providing input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.

  • Troubleshooting complex problems and providing customer support for process specific hardware and application issues.

  • Preparing reports on analyses, findings, and project progress.

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience

  • Required Experience: 3 years experience with at least 2 years experience in software development including the design, coding, testing, and documentation of software products or applications. Also requires knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures used in software development.
    3+ years of related software development experience

  • Required Technical Skills: CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8570 Compliance)

  • Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills

  • Preferred Skills: Development experience with .Net, C#, SQL, JS, and HTML

  • Location: On Customer Site, Washington, District of Columbia

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $73,965 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
