Job description

Junior Creative Projects Manager

The Junior Creative Projects Manager leads project management and account servicefor four to six small to midsize projects, working with a Creative Support Specialist to find creative ways to deliver excellent service and creative to clients. You will be responsible for creating and managing project timelines and budgets, developing final versions of internal and client-facing documents, and managing quality control for a range of creative products. The ideal team member for this position is someone who can "connect the dots" internally and externally, providing clear and concise communication with team members and clients to support the production of excellent creative end products in rapidly changing environments.

Essential Job Duties

Learning (5%)

  • Participate in professional development and learning activities to continuously improve leadership, management, project management, and writing skills
  • Read and reflect on agency readings; connect readings to short- and long-term goals for team and agency Support and Leadership (5%)
  • Provide professional development support for assigned creative support specialist to encourage continuous learning and growth
  • Clearly and consistently communicate agency values, culture, goals, and expectations tothe creative support specialist

Planning, Analyzing, and Evaluating (5%)

  • Assist with developing workable budgets, work plans, and realistic timetables for client projects and campaigns
  • Collaborate with the internal creative teams on preparation of marketing recommendations, strategies, and actions for clients
  • Prepare regular project updates and reports to share with clients

Team Leading, Coordinating, Monitoring, and Controlling (10%)

  • Act as the team leader on all assigned projects
  • Champion internal systems for higher productivity
  • Maintain communication with appropriate agency and client personnel to ensure positive workflow
  • Educate clients and manage their needs and expectations for assigned projects
  • Monitor all budget and production activity on assigned projects and communicate status of each project to appropriate agency and client personnel to meet project deadlines

  • Assist with media planning and placement, including tracking budgets and following up with vendors, as needed

Creative Project Management (75%)

  • Manage assigned projects, engage with client projects from start to finish, and ensure successful project completion against deadlines
  • Drive projects to the final stages of completion by keeping the team both on track and highly motivated
  • Use Teamwork project management software to organize projects, schedule tasks, and ensure projects are kept on-time and within budget
  • Finalize detailed notes and action items for project meetings and send internal and external follow-up emails to ensure deliverables are completed on time
  • Liaise with clients in a professional manner and provide updates on project activities, milestones, and budgets
  • Work with Creative Support Specialist to plan and schedule meetings, presentations, and related events; send reminders regarding upcoming appointments to internal team and clients
  • Manage copywriting or copyediting process for client-facing materials, including but not limited to press releases, social media content, newsletter content, blogs, and similar materials, as needed
  • Manage quality control for all project deliverables assurance by testing and reviewing creative and reviewing outputted deliverables against scope
  • Initiate and lead all appropriate project meetings
  • Manage vendors and talent on assigned projects
  • Work with principal and senior operations support specialist to ensure properbilling and invoicing

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlines

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and productivity software (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)
