Job description

About the Company:

Coffee 'n Clothes is a culture-forward experiential agency that blends creativity, strategy, and design to build immersive activations, pop-ups, and branded experiences. We partner with some of the world's most iconic and innovative brands to turn ideas into unforgettable moments-on the street, in-store, online, and beyond.

We're currently seeking a Freelance Creative Director to concept, lead, and execute boundary-pushing work across multiple client projects. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role ideal for a strategic visionary with deep experience in experiential, campaign, or integrated creative leadership.

About the Role:

As a Freelance Creative Director, you'll be responsible for driving the creative vision across multiple brand activations and experiences. You'll lead cross-functional teams through concept development, storytelling, art direction, and execution. You're as comfortable pitching big ideas to clients as you are building moodboards, giving feedback to a designer, or partnering with producers to bring a space to life.

You'll help define the creative direction of projects while ensuring everything we deliver is bold, elevated, brand-right, and rooted in cultural relevance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead creative ideation, storytelling, and execution across experiential campaigns, branded environments, and integrated touchpoints

  • Translate brand goals and strategic insights into clear creative direction and visual narratives

  • Direct and mentor designers, art directors, writers, and freelancers throughout the creative process

  • Build and present compelling pitch decks, creative presentations, and moodboards

  • Collaborate with producers, strategists, and client teams to ensure creative excellence and executional feasibility

  • Provide creative oversight on-site during activations and installations when needed

  • Ensure the work meets both brand standards and the agency's high creative bar

Qualifications:
  • 8-12+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within experiential, brand, or advertising agencies

  • Strong portfolio showcasing conceptually driven, visually compelling work across live experiences and campaigns

  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams from ideation through execution

  • Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and client communication skills

  • Deep understanding of design trends, pop culture, and audience behavior

  • Hands-on experience with creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, and Google Slides

  • Experience working on-site or in production environments a plus

Employment Type: CONTRACTOR
