Job Title: Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Location: Ladera Ranch, CA | Corporate Office

Position Status: Full time, Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will develop, lead, and implement the company’s overall technology strategy to support business objectives, innovation, operational efficiency, and security. This role is responsible for overseeing enterprise technology infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, digital transformation initiatives, and the adoption of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI). The CIO will ensure technology investments deliver optimal business value, scalability, and long-term growth.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with executive leadership to identify how technology can support and enhance business operations, growth, and financial performance.
  • Develops and executes the organization’s technology roadmap, including infrastructure modernization, cloud strategy, cybersecurity, and AI initiatives.
  • Identifies emerging technologies and industry trends; evaluates and implements solutions that improve operational efficiency and business performance.
  • Continuously seeks opportunities to optimize and modernize the company’s technology infrastructure without disrupting business operations.
  • Builds and develops high-performing internal and external technology teams to support business and platform needs.
  • Oversees cloud platform strategy, implementation, governance, and optimization across enterprise systems and applications.
  • Leads the evaluation and implementation of AI-driven tools and automation solutions to improve business processes, analytics, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensures that technology systems, networks, cloud environments, and infrastructure adequately support the company’s computing, data processing, communication, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Develops and manages the technology budget and ensures effective allocation of resources and return on investment.
  • Communicates technology goals, initiatives, projects, and timelines across the organization and ensures alignment with business objectives.
  • Establishes long-term technology plans and develops strategies for acquiring, implementing, and maintaining software, hardware, cloud services, and emerging technologies.
  • Serves as a senior escalation point for technology-related business requirements and solutions.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations, cybersecurity standards, and data protection requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees projects and assignments within the Information Systems (IS)/Information Technology (IT) department.
  • Leads efficient operation of the team so that prompt modernization and upgrades of IS/IT are performed as needed.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation technologies, and digital transformation strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Excellent ability to align technology initiatives with long-term business goals.
  • Thorough understanding of enterprise technology systems, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and software platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the hiring country (United States or Canada).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Technology required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in administration of information systems and technology, with increasing level of responsibility throughout.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This position is required to be performed in the corporate office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers/scanners.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time, exempt position and hours of work and days of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional work on Saturday’s and Sunday’s may also be required.

TRAVEL

Travel will be required for the position up to 25%.
