Job Title: Accountant - Japanese Bilingual
Client: Japanese Company
Working Location: Midtown NYC
Working Style: Hybrid - 2 days in Office
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $60-70K (DOE)

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:30PM

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and validate Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and General Ledger (G/L) transactions before processing in SAP.
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies while maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Support month-end closing, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
  • Process accounting transactions using SAP and related accounting systems.
  • Maintain accounting documentation and ensure confidentiality of financial information.
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and company initiatives as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Accounting preferred). 2-3 years of general accounting experience. Experience with:
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • General Ledger
  • Payroll entries
  • Bank reconciliations
Experience using SAP or ERP systems. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Business-level English communication. Business-level Japanese communication.

Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues independently. High level of integrity when handling confidential financial information. Strong communication skills with internal teams and Japan headquarters.
