About this role
The Analytics Lead for Japan Partnerships is a highly visible and impactful role, focused on supporting Udemy's largest partnerships. You will provide deep, actionable analytics and insights for Japan and indirect partner channels, enabling the channel sales team to optimize partner performance, make data-driven decisions, and accelerate regional revenue growth As this role will require regular interaction with our Japan-based partner teams, fluency in both Japanese and English is a requirement for this position.
What you'll be doing
  • Develop, manage, and evolve the key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting framework for the Udemy Japan Team and partner ecosystem and other indirect/reseller channels.
  • Build and maintain dashboards (in Tableau and Databricks) that track Udemy Japan efforts including partner-sourced pipeline, revenue, deal registrations, and partner performance against targets in both Udemy Business and Udemy Consumer.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of the Udemy Japan business, identifying trends, key user behaviors, and opportunities for growth or optimization.
  • Support the Japan Partner Account Managers with data and insights for partner-facing events such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and conferences.
  • Act as the primary data and analytics point of contact for the Udemy Japan leadership and the global partner operations team. Partner with the Director of Japan Business Operations to review and understand use of shared data.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of partner initiatives and promotions in the region.
  • Assist in forecasting for both Corporate and Consumer business, collaborating with sales, marketing and finance teams.

What you'll have
  • Fluency in both Japanese and English is required to enable communication with our partner in Japan.
  • 5-7 years of work experience in analytics or data science roles, ideally with at least 1-2 years of direct experience supporting B2B SaaS, Partnership, or GTM analytics (Customer Success, Sales, RevOps).
  • Expert-level SQL skills; experience with Databricks or similar cloud data warehouses.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools, particularly Tableau, with a strong eye for visual storytelling and usability.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills; ability to meet with customers and internal stakeholders to present insights with confidence.
  • Experience with segmentation and statistical analysis to support business decision-making is a plus
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages is a plus.
  • A proactive mindset, strong ownership, and a collaborative approach to working across teams.
