An information technology (IT) teacher instructs students on how to use different types of computer software or hardware. Some IT teachers work in high schools or vocational schools, while others may work for companies that help implement new hardware or software solutions for businesses. As a school teacher, your duties may be to help students with typing or other basics of computer use. You may also teach more advanced courses about programming, computer systems, and networking. In a business setting, your role is to help end users learn more about the products they are using and train them to utilize the capabilities to improve efficiency or performance.
