JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of high-priority technology projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing system-wide hardware and software modernization and integration projects, as well as demonstrated leadership in planning, design, and implementation of technological initiatives. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for developing user engagement strategies, managing service-level performance, and overseeing various technology upgrade projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and supervise project teams, providing both individual and team guidance to achieve project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other project leaders and support activities led by other divisions.
  • Create a collaborative environment for project teams, encouraging knowledge sharing across disciplines.
  • Define project scope, deliverables, and manage team member expectations to ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
  • Assemble and engage project teams, identify resources, assign responsibilities, and develop timelines for successful project completion.
  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis for actions and initiatives as needed.
  • Organize and lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders and service providers.
  • Conduct technology needs assessments, prepare status reports, and make recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and senior business leadership, both verbally and in writing.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the work of both internal staff and external consultants assigned to project teams.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to project stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all team members, peers, supervisors, and stakeholders.
  • Lead and support network software, hardware, and upgrade projects as assigned.
  • Oversee additional data, network, and technology projects as directed.

QUALIFICATIONSRequired
  • Proven experience in project and team management, including the ability to create collaborative team structures and successfully lead projects.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills, strategic thinking abilities, and high professional ethics.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, leadership, associates, consultants, and vendors.
  • Knowledge and experience with network and software applications.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with social service, child welfare systems, or City network and software applications.
  • Experience in supervising teams.
  • Proven experience in project management or relevant business experience.
  • Alternatively, 7-10 years of experience working with network and software applications in related fields.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience deemed acceptable.
