An IT project manager assembles and manages a team to complete a project, defines each deliverable associated with the project, delegates assignments, and delivers the final project to the client. IT project managers take ownership of the project and ensure that all team members contribute to the final product. Key skills for an IT project manager include organization, team management, critical thinking, and innovation.
