Role Description This full-time Insurance Agent role is a hybrid position based in Richmond, VA, combining on-site work with some work-from-home flexibility. The Insurance Agent will meet with individuals, families, and business clients to assess their financial protection needs and recommend appropriate insurance and financial products. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and networking to generate new business, conducting client consultations, preparing proposals, and managing applications and policy documentation. The role involves ongoing customer service, including policy reviews, beneficiary updates, and support with claims and coverage questions. The Insurance Agent will also stay informed about industry trends, product offerings, and regulatory requirements to provide accurate, compliant guidance.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in Insurance Sales, with the ability to build relationships and close new business.
  • Knowledge of Insurance products and Insurance Brokerage practices, including life, health, and related coverage.
  • Understanding of Finance principles and the ability to integrate insurance solutions into broader financial strategies.
  • Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, empathy, and long-term client support.
  • Relevant state insurance licensing (or eligibility to obtain licensing within a defined timeframe).
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both in person and via phone or video.
  • Comfort with hybrid work arrangements and the ability to manage time and priorities independently.
  • Prior experience in financial services, sales, or advisory roles is beneficial; bilingual skills are a plus.
