Job Summary:
Generation Auto Group is a family-owned and operated dealership group proudly serving communities for over 30 years. As a Level 2/3 IT Technician, you will support and maintain the technology infrastructure for dealerships across New York and New Jersey, ensuring reliable and efficient technology solutions for end users and dealership leadership.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive
โ€ข Manage user accounts, licensing, permissions, and mailbox administration
โ€ข Support and maintain Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including user lifecycle management, security groups, and access controls
โ€ข Configure and support Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access Policies, and identity security initiatives
โ€ข Assist with Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and cloud administration projects
โ€ข Deploy, configure, maintain, and support Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices
โ€ข Manage mobile devices and endpoint policies through Microsoft Intune and Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms
โ€ข Support Windows Autopilot deployments and device provisioning processes
โ€ข Perform workstation installations, upgrades, replacements, and lifecycle management
โ€ข Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, operating system, and application issues

โ€ข Assist with technology rollouts, software upgrades, and dealership acquisitions
โ€ข Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues requiring advanced troubleshooting
โ€ข Automate repetitive administrative tasks using PowerShell or similar tools
โ€ข Assist with infrastructure projects, technology refreshes, system deployments, and migrations
โ€ข Coordinate with dealership leadership, vendors, and internal IT staff on projects and initiatives
โ€ข Maintain detailed documentation of systems, procedures, troubleshooting steps, and technology standards
โ€ข Travel regularly between dealership locations throughout New York and New Jersey
โ€ข Provide onsite technical support for workstations, printers, mobile devices, networking equipment, and dealership systems
โ€ข Support dealership acquisitions, renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and technology deployments
โ€ข Assist with conference room technology, executive support requests, and special events
โ€ข Be available for occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work during projects, emergencies, or system rollouts
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
โ€ข Have 3+ years of IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure experience
โ€ข Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive
โ€ข Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and endpoint management solutions
โ€ข Strong understanding of Windows 10/11 deployment, configuration, and support
โ€ข Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, and wireless networking
โ€ข Experience supporting endpoint security, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity management
โ€ข Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, networking, and cloud-related issues independently
โ€ข Comfortable supporting both remote and onsite users across multiple locations
โ€ข Able to work independently with minimal supervision
โ€ข Able to lift and move computer equipment, printers, and related technology assets up to 50 lbs
โ€ข Willing and able to travel regularly between dealership locations
