Summary
The IT Technician's role is to ensure system operation and functionality so that end users can accomplish business tasks. The objective of the IT Technician will be to respond to support requests in a timely manner, be the initial reference point for all IT support related tickets, and to ensure the satisfaction of the end user, among other technical duties.
IT Technicians are expected to display good interpersonal skills as they will interact with colleagues from various departments, executive levels and customers daily.
IT Technician II Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support via phone, web portal, and email to ensure timely and effective resolution of end-user issues.
  • Set up and provision systems for new hires, including hardware and software installation.
  • Prioritize and manage service requests and incidents according to defined SLAs.
  • Utilize remote tools and diagnostics to troubleshoot and resolve support requests efficiently.
  • Perform hands-on technical support for hardware repairs, peripheral installations, and other on-site fixes as needed.
  • Install and configure hardware and software across network infrastructure devices, including antivirus updates and security compliance.
  • Administer servers and IT systems using Active Directory, File & Print services, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals while ensuring company safety and security standards are met.

IT Technician II Qualifications:
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of Computer Science and/or 3 years equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Office 365 administration, Windows 7, Server and Mac OS
  • Active Directory knowledge, Kaseya RMM and Autotask PSA experience is a plus
  • CompTIA A+ and/or CompTIA Network+ preferred
  • Some knowledge and understating of networking devices and appliances.
  • Valid Driver License and ability to drive to customer locations when required.
