Job description

IT Infrastructure Manager

MB2 Dental is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to join our rapidly growing Dental Partnership Organization (DPO). MB2 supports over 800 dental practices nationwide, as well as our corporate headquarters in Dallas, TX. Our IT organization operates within a hybrid internal IT and managed service provider (MSP) model, supporting a distributed 24/7 clinical environment. As we continue to scale, we are focused on strengthening infrastructure standardization, technical governance, and platform consistency across all supported locations. Position Summary:

The IT Infrastructure Manager sets and enforces infrastructure standards for corporate and field environments, providing technical leadership for platforms like networking, servers, cloud, and telecom. The manager ensures implementations are standardized, scalable, and compliant, and leads both internal and third-party teams to meet operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure Standards & Technical Governance
    • Establish and maintain enterprise infrastructure standards across all supported locations
    • Define approved configurations for server deployments, network implementations, and site-level infrastructure builds
    • Ensure infrastructure installations align with documented technical blueprints and regulatory requirements
    • Provide technical oversight and approval authority for infrastructure design changes
    • Develop and maintain infrastructure architecture guidelines and configuration standards
  • Field, Network & Server Infrastructure Leadership
    • Directly manage and develop infrastructure personnel, including network engineers, systems/server administrators, field infrastructure specialists, and telecom functions
    • Provide clear technical direction, workload prioritization, and performance oversight for infrastructure team members
    • Lead technical direction for field server deployments and network installations across supported locations.
    • Oversee telecom infrastructure standards across corporate and field environments
    • Serve as the primary technical escalation authority for network, server, and infrastructure platform issues in coordination with IT Operations
    • Ensure consistent infrastructure configurations across a distributed, multi-site healthcare organization
  • Platform Lifecycle & Continuous Improvement
    • Guide infrastructure modernization initiatives and lifecycle planning
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations aligned with business strategy
    • Drive reductions in configuration variability and improve infrastructure consistency across locations
    • Promote automation and engineering-driven improvements within the infrastructure stack
    • Maintain infrastructure documentation, configuration baselines, and technical standards
  • Security & Compliance Alignment
    • Ensure infrastructure platforms align with organizational security policies and healthcare regulatory requirements
    • Partner with IT Security to maintain resilient and compliant infrastructure controls
    • Support disaster recovery readiness and infrastructure resilience initiatives
  • Vendor & MSP Governance
    • Oversee third-party infrastructure providers to ensure alignment with defined standards and configurations
    • Provide technical review and guidance for infrastructure implementations performed by external partners
    • Collaborate with IT leadership to ensure consistent infrastructure execution across all supported locations

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of progressive infrastructure experience in enterprise environments
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing infrastructure or technical teams
  • Strong background in hybrid cloud environments and enterprise networking
  • Experience supporting multi-site or distributed organizations strongly preferred
  • Healthcare or regulated industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to establish, document, and enforce infrastructure standards
  • Strong leadership, communication, and technical governance skills
  • Relevant professional certifications preferred
