IT Infrastructure M&A Lead Engineer

Overview

Salesforce is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure M&A Lead Engineer to support technical due diligence and infrastructure integration activities for mergers and acquisitions. This role will assess acquired companies' infrastructure environments, develop integration strategies, and help drive successful transitions across enterprise IT systems, collaboration platforms, identity management, networking, security, and workplace technologies.

The ideal candidate is a broadly skilled infrastructure engineer with experience working across enterprise environments and partnering with technical and business stakeholders. This role requires strong communication skills, technical versatility, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, highly confidential M&A environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead infrastructure assessments and integration planning activities for acquisitions

  • Evaluate infrastructure environments, operational maturity, risks, and dependencies

  • Develop recommendations for migration, integration, consolidation, or decommissioning of technologies and services

  • Provide high-level estimates for scope, cost, timelines, complexity, and risk

  • Partner with engineering, security, workplace technology, and business teams to align integration strategies

  • Present recommendations and status updates to technical leadership and executive stakeholders

  • Contribute to M&A integration standards, processes, and best practices

  • Support broader infrastructure transformation initiatives within Corporate IT

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure engineering, architecture, or operations

  • Experience working across a broad range of infrastructure technologies, including collaboration platforms, identity and access management, networking, endpoint technologies, and cloud services

  • Familiarity with enterprise productivity and collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft O365, Zoom, Teams, Confluence, and enterprise file-sharing platforms

  • Understanding of networking, DNS, authentication, authorization, and infrastructure security principles

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with leadership teams

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure integrations, or large-scale migration projects

  • Experience with SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and virtualization technologies

  • Background in Information Security

  • Relevant industry certifications

  • Experience working in large global enterprise environments
