Mode of Hire : W2 Contract
Description:
The overall purpose/primary function of this position is to combine business requirements, corporate standards, as well as industry best practices to manage the delivery of enterprise infrastructure solutions to internal & external customers. The solutions engineer will also serve as an internal consultant focusing on tactical as well as strategic solutions for the enterprise. This position participates in requirements meetings, architectural design sessions, solutions modeling, technical documentation, project execution as well as post implementation consulting on a global level. This position will be a part of a team that will drive the technical infrastructure direction of the WDN enterprise on a global scale.
Requirements:
Minimum 4yr College degree in Computer Science or related Computer Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
Strong grasp of web technologies and architectural principles necessary for designing scalable, extensible and maintainable web applications and services
Experience with developing applications and or scripts in one or more current application programming languages
Demonstrated Linux administration and scripting experience
Demonstrated Windows administration and Microsoft Technologies
Working knowledge of one or more Agile methodologies
Proficient with public and private clouds such as Amazon Web Services: Compute and Network, Storage, CDN, Database, Deployment and Management.
Experience with automation / configuration management tools such as Ansible, uDeploy, Jenkins
Performance monitoring and tuning using New Relic, AppFirst and Splunk
Ability to take security, SOX and PCI into consideration when designing enterprise wide solutions
