The Infrastructure Manager (IM) is responsible for overseeing the drawings and plans of new developments, including low voltage drawings for the IT department while working in conjunction with the Design Development department. This role involves designing and planning the architecture of information systems, including the layout of networks, hardware components, and low voltage systems like telecommunications, security systems, and data centers (both individually and with independent contractors). The IM will communicate with vendors for installation, configuration, technical support, and purchasing issues, and maintain excellent customer service when responding to issues. The IM should be a subject matter expert in Microsoft products, networks, and servers and be a positive contributor to the technology team and overall Milhaus culture. positive contributor to the technology team and overall Milhaus culture.
Essential Position Functions
  • Serves as the IT primary point of contact for ISP carriers and service providers.
  • Create and review technical drawings and plans for new development projects (or in conjunction with outside contractor).
  • Review/Design network and system architecture that incorporate low-voltage systems.
  • Assess third-party solutions and integrations to enhance system functionality and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate issues impacting the operations and data infrastructure.
  • Assists with planning and the implementation of systems and network integrations following mergers or acquisitions.
  • Assists with Sysadmin projects and issues.
  • Assists with helpdesk support tickets.
  • Assists with after-hours emergencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Three or more years of experience in network design, system architecture, or a related field.
  • Bachelors degree in information technology or similar field preferred.
  • CompTIA Network+, Server+, CCNA, or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office products, Active Directory, Windows servers, and a keen grasp on the basic principles of networking at an organizational level.
  • Must be detailed and task oriented.
  • Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Valid driver's license.
