Position Overview

The primary role of the IT Support – Help Desk role is to field help desk calls and support the day-to-day end-user computer operations at Coating Place.

Essential Job Functions

  • Point of contact for all Help Desk calls; log and track requests using ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus.
  • Support end-user computer hardware, software, and phones.
  • Maintain Asset Tracking database.
  • Assist in user training on software and devices.
  • Analyze ongoing issues and propose long-term solutions.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior IT staff or system administrators as needed.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions to support the department's knowledge base and SOPs.
  • Follow all Coating Place cGMP and Coating Place safety practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Employees at Coating Place work with and/or are familiar with the GMP requirements for Food, Dietary Supplements, Pharmaceuticals, or other elements of each.
  • Depending on the position, the employee will be aware of Halal and/or Kosher requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education/Skills/Knowledge Required

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field, or enrolled in related program.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft SharePoint Online.
  • Networking (CompTIA equivalent).
  • Computer Basics (CompTIA equivalent).
  • Familiar with Domain infrastructure on Windows Server 2019 and up.
  • Understanding of Virtualization concepts (Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware, Citrix).
