Job Summary:
Provides foundational support and maintenance for IT systems infrastructure, assisting in installation, set up, configuration, monitoring and maintenance tasks. Works to ensure stable and secure operations across on-premises and cloud environments, troubleshoot basic issues, and document configurations to meet business requirements in accordance with IT architecture policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops and Implements small-scale automation solutions with guidance from senior engineers to improve efficiency, consistency, and accuracy of day-to-day operations across infrastructure environments. Assists in documenting basic system configurations, installation steps, and operational procedures, infrastructure architectures, system requirements, functional specifications and technical procedures for servers, storage, networks, and cloud environments Assists in installing, configuring, testing and maintaining hardware, software, and infrastructure components. Follows established procedures to identify basic performance issues and escalate as needed to senior engineers. Support troubleshooting, monitoring system performance, system security and resolution of basic infrastructure issues to ensure minimal disruption to system operations. Follows established procedures to perform system backups, basic security checks, and recovery tests. Assists in maintaining compliance with organizational policies and learns foundational practices for system protection and data integrity. Learns and applies basic scripting techniques to automate simple, repetitive operational tasks. Monitors system performance and resource utilization using predefined tools and procedures. Assists in the analysis and evaluation of system and platform performance to ensure applications operate effectively within the infrastructure. Coordinating with internal teams during implementation or troubleshooting activities to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
