Your Role: Junior IT Engineer - Information Technology Intern (Summer 2027)
As a Summer 2027 Information Technology Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will work alongside application product teams on a real-world technology project that supports business needs. You'll gain hands-on experience gathering requirements, supporting testing and documentation, collaborating with stakeholders, and developing solutions to complex problems while gaining exposure to how technology enables a global organization.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Work on a defined technology project that addresses a business need and can be completed within the 12-week internship

  • Partner with Elanco application product teams and business stakeholders to understand needs and contribute to a real-world technology solution

  • Gather and document application requirements, testing needs, processes, and other relevant information to support project delivery

  • Collaborate with team members across the organization to solve problems, share ideas, and move project work forward

  • Track project progress, results, and key learnings, and present project outcomes to Elanco leaders and colleagues at the conclusion of the internship

  • Build relationships and network across the organization while gaining exposure to technology and application work within a global company

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
  • Education: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate information sciences degree program, such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field.

  • Top Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
  • Interest in application development, technology solutions, and/or application support within a large organization

  • Interest in animal health and/or Elanco's mission
