Job Title: Jr. IT Technician

Department: IT Department

Reports to: IT Engineer & IT Director

Effective date January 15, 2024

Summary: Handles initial support requests for the IT Department that need to be handled.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Active directory administration for credential creation, password resets and resolving user profile issues
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Administration (Create /Delete a user, Backup outlook)
  • Manage Network: Oversee server rack configuration, patch new cables / ports, manage firewall, web filter, create new connections for phone/ network, crimp ethernet cables, monitor network performance, define network policies, procedures, and uphold security measures
  • Troubleshooting of wireless controllers, access points, and end-user Wi-Fi experience
  • Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems
  • Installing Network printers and changing parts for label printers
  • Checking the CCTV systems and cameras
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
  • Daily backup for files and folders
  • Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components
  • Ensuring the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software
  • Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly
  • Troubleshoot, fix, and repair mobiles, desktop, laptop, and server issues.
  • Implement new technologies and provide resources to complete IT projects as needed.
  • Assist with the prompt resolution of support service tickets.
  • Creating & and maintaining of accounts in the VOIP Telephony system
  • Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders online.

Qualifications and skills required.

· The ability to work well with others.

· 2 years of experience

· Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software.

· Office 365

· Microsoft Active Directory /NTFS file sharing

· Analytical thinking skills.

· Knowledge of new technology (Arduino, RFID, Rasbery PI) .

· To be thorough and pay attention to detail.

· Customer service skills.

· Excellent verbal communication skills.
