Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced IT Deployment Technicians for a 3-5 month contract to support a large-scale onsite hardware refresh project in a hospital environment. The project consists of approximately 2,500 in-place device upgrades and requires technicians who are comfortable with workstation deployment, hardware installation, cable management, and supporting end-user environments.


Responsibilities

  • Deploy and upgrade approximately 2,500 devices throughout the project.
  • Deploy Lenovo M70q Gen6 thick clients and Lenovo Neo 50q G4 TIO Linux/IGEL thin clients.
  • Transport equipment from onsite receiving/staging areas to deployment locations.
  • Organize computers, components, and peripherals for deployment.
  • Disconnect and remove legacy workstations, network cables, and power connections.
  • Install, connect, and power on replacement devices.
  • Verify network connectivity and basic device functionality.
  • Reconnect existing monitors and external peripherals.
  • Perform clean and professional cable management.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, peripheral, and connectivity issues.
  • Move retired equipment to designated onsite storage areas.
  • Remove boxes, packaging materials, and deployment debris from work areas.
  • Follow direction from the onsite Lead Technician and project leadership.


Required Qualifications

  • Previous desktop/workstation deployment experience required.
  • Strong PC hardware, peripherals, and basic network connectivity skills.
  • Experience with large-scale hardware refresh/deployment projects preferred.
  • Hospital/healthcare IT experience strongly preferred.
  • IGEL/thin-client experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift, move, and deploy computer equipment throughout the workday.
  • Reliable transportation and own vehicle required.
  • Must be able to commit to the 3–5 month project duration.
