Job description

Job Title: Mobile Device Engineer II Location: Washington, DC Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $38.44 (Pay Rate Low) Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 40.0 Security Clearance: Public Trust

Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise mobile device services across provisioning, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of smartphones, tablets, and related services.
  • Administer Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, configuration profiles, application deployment, and policy management.
  • Implement and enforce mobile security policies and compliance controls on iOS, Android, and Windows platforms.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and connectivity issues to ensure quick resolution and restore user services.
  • Support incident response, service request fulfillment, and coordinate with support teams to ensure reliable mobile operations.
  • Assist in mobile configuration standards maintenance aligned with agency and federal IT security requirements.
  • Participate in pre-production testing, rollout activities, and contribute to operational reporting and efficiency improvements.
  • Support surge activities such as device refreshes and support demand expansion as directed by leadership.
Requirements
  • Must meet contract citizenship/work authorization requirements; able to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mobile device management or enterprise IT support, with at least 4 years of hands-on Microsoft Intune experience.
  • Knowledge of iOS, Android, and Windows mobile platforms and mobile security best practices.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Intune, MDM administration, endpoint troubleshooting, and incident workflows.
  • Experience supporting federal agency environments with FISMA controls is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications preferred, such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102), Security+, or ITIL 4 Foundation.
