Job description

Tabs is the leading AI-native revenue platform for modern finance and accounting teams. Tabs agents automate the entire contract-to-cash lifecycle, including billing, collections, revenue recognition, and reporting, to help teams eliminate manual work and accelerate cash flow.
High-growth companies like Cursor and Statsig rely on Tabs to generate invoices directly from contracts, reconcile payments in real time, and automate ASC 606 compliance.
Founded in 2023, Tabs has raised over $91 million from Lightspeed Venture Partners, General Catalyst, and Primary. The team is headquartered in New York and brings deep expertise in finance and AI.
About the Role
Tabs is hiring a Deployment Team Lead to be a hands-on player/coach as we scale our customer delivery function. In this role you'll manage and mentor a small team of Deployment Strategists while remaining actively involved in strategic, highโ€‘impact implementations. You'll shape how Tabs delivers revenue automation solutions to finance and accounting teams, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations to create repeatable, scalable processes that drive successful goโ€‘lives and exceptional customer outcomes.
What You'll Do
  • Lead & coach a small team of Deployment Strategists: provide regular feedback, professional development, and model bestโ€‘inโ€‘class project delivery and customer communication.
  • Own highโ€‘impact implementations endโ€‘toโ€‘end: run onboarding for complex customers, map business processes, configure Tabs, manage ERP integrations (NetSuite, QuickBooks), and ensure smooth goโ€‘lives.
  • Drive continuous improvement: partner with the VP of Client Services to refine playbooks, standardize workflows, and enhance internal tools and data visibility.
  • Serve as the customer SME: translate accounting and revenue recognition needs into configuration and implementation decisions; ensure alignment with clients' finance requirements.
  • Partner crossโ€‘functionally: surface implementation insights to Product and Engineering, identify product gaps, and help prioritize enhancements that reduce friction and scale delivery.
  • Measure and elevate team performance: track delivery metrics, surface blockers, and implement coaching or process changes to sustain quality, speed, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build for scale: contribute to hiring, onboarding, and knowledgeโ€‘sharing practices that strengthen the delivery function as Tabs grows.

Who You Are
  • Hands-on leader who excels at delivering complex projects while developing team members
  • Strong accounting fluency with the ability to translate finance requirements into implementation decisions
  • Systems-oriented thinker who creates repeatable processes from ambiguity
  • Clear communicator across finance, accounting, and technical audiences (CFOs to engineers)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and metric-driven
  • Proactive about continuous improvement and removing friction in delivery
  • Customer-focused, committed to exceptional delivery quality and satisfaction

Experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in software implementation, customer onboarding, or professional services at SaaS or fintech companies
  • Experience mentoring or managing a small team while maintaining direct project ownership
  • Strong technical and accounting fluency, ideally with knowledge about ASC 606 revenue recognition, order-to-cash workflows, or ERP integrations (NetSuite, QuickBooks)
  • Proven ability to manage complex client implementations end to end, balancing speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills across finance, accounting, and technical stakeholders
  • Background in accounting or finance software; CPA or Big Four experience is a plus
  • Based in New York City, available to work 5 days per week in office at our Soho HQ

Additional Information
Based in New York City, available to work 5 days per week in office at our Soho HQ
Perks and Benefits (Full-time Employees)
  • Competitive compensation and equity
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Up to 100% employer covered monthly healthcare premium (medical, dental, vision)
  • Lunch provided via Sharebite, plus dinner for any later in office days.
  • Parental leave up to 12 weeks
  • Tax free commuter and parking benefits
  • Voluntary insurances (Life, Hospital, Critical Illness, Accident)
  • Employee Assistance Program (Rightway)
  • Free One Medical Membership
  • 401k
