Job description

Our client is a growing small business that helps government organizations solve mission-critical challenges involving national security, operational readiness, space, and data-driven decision-making.

As a highly experienced Palantir services partner, the company designs and deploys production solutions that help government customers turn complex data into meaningful operational outcomes. The focus is not on building shelfware. It is on delivering capabilities that are adopted, used, and trusted by the people supporting the mission.

This is an opportunity to join a newly established delivery hub in Huntsville. You will work close to the mission, receive direct mentorship from experienced Palantir professionals, and have the opportunity to help build the hub from the ground up.

You will work within small, senior teams that offer meaningful autonomy and ownership without the bureaucracy commonly found within larger organizations.

About the Role:

The Deployment Strategist serves as the owner of a customer portfolio or delivery hub. You will be accountable for the mission outcome, revenue growth, product vision, customer relationships, and the team responsible for delivering the solution from beginning to end.

This is not a traditional project management position. You will own the customer's mission and the overall success of the programs within your portfolio.

You will define the product vision, develop the minimum viable product thesis, establish team priorities, deliver production-grade solutions quickly, and drive user adoption until the platform becomes an essential part of the customer's mission.

Successful Deployment Strategists combine deep platform expertise with exceptional interpersonal, product, and leadership skills. They challenge assumptions, demonstrate sound judgment, and maintain an intense focus on the customer and measurable mission outcomes.

Comparable titles may include:

  • Mission Owner
  • Product Lead
  • Product Manager
  • Palantir Deployment Strategist

Responsibilities:

  • Own mission success and revenue growth across your assigned portfolio.
  • Define and own the product vision for the customer, determining how the platform must evolve to address the customer's most difficult problems.
  • Develop the MVP thesis, including the concise north-star document that aligns stakeholders, supports investment decisions, and defines what the team will build first.
  • Establish weekly team priorities, lead stand-up meetings, manage the backlog, and protect the team from scope creep and distractions.
  • Drive sustained user adoption until power users can build their own applications and the platform becomes integral to the customer's operations.
  • Translate complex and ambiguous problems into ontologies, data pipelines, Workshop or Object Explorer applications, Quiver analyses, code repositories, and AIP chains that are used in daily operations.
  • Drive expansion, cross-selling, and additional revenue within the primary customer stakeholder's network and any assigned accounts.
  • Use technical credibility, trusted delivery outcomes, and a deep understanding of available capabilities to identify and develop new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineers to create reusable accelerators, training materials, and internal educational content.
  • Identify and resolve technical, organizational, cultural, political, and financial obstacles before they affect delivery.
  • Own the complete delivery lifecycle, from customer onboarding through sustainment.
  • Establish continuous improvement practices and meaningful customer feedback loops.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of approximately one to six Forward Deployed Engineers.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Palantir Deployment Strategist, Forward Deployed Engineer, developer, or similar Palantir-focused professional is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates without a previous Palantir title must demonstrate deep, hands-on expertise with the Palantir platform.
  • Palantir Foundry experience is highly desired.
  • Proven ability to define and own a product vision.
  • Demonstrated success driving growth or program expansion within government accounts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior military, government, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop an MVP thesis, troubleshoot a data pipeline, lead a retrospective, and guide product and delivery decisions.
  • Strong understanding of mission needs, operational workflows, data platforms, and user adoption.
  • Experience leading small technical delivery teams.
  • Ability to take ownership of problems and act without waiting for detailed instructions or assigned tickets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within small, senior teams.
  • Direct, professional communication style with the ability to navigate complex customer environments.
  • Active security clearance or immediate eligibility to obtain the clearance required for the work.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Candidates must currently reside in Huntsville, Alabama, or have established plans to relocate.
  • Military, Special Operations, or law enforcement experience is favored but is not required for every candidate.

The right person will be comfortable briefing a senior military leader, writing an MVP thesis, troubleshooting a pipeline, and leading a team retrospective within the same day.

What You Will Receive:

  • An opportunity to help establish and grow a new Huntsville delivery hub.
  • Direct mentorship from experienced Palantir professionals.
  • A defined path toward hub and portfolio leadership opportunities.
  • Meaningful ownership of customer missions and delivery outcomes.
  • The agility and autonomy of a small business.
  • The opportunity to work on high-impact government missions.
  • A collaborative team that cares deeply about its customers, the mission, and one another.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
  • Tuition and training reimbursement.
  • Peer bonus program.
  • Unlimited paid time off.
  • Flexible work schedules where contract and customer requirements permit.
