Job Summary
Join the team at Pins Bar & Grill, one of Drummond Island's busiest and most popular gathering places. More than just a bartender, you'll be part entertainer, part host, and part ambassador for the Resort-creating memorable experiences for local residents, island visitors, golfers, and vacationing families.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced bartender who enjoys a fast-paced environment, thrives on guest interaction, and takes pride in delivering exceptional hospitality. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests with genuine hospitality and create an inviting atmosphere.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and service standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, and featured promotions.
  • Make recommendations and engage guests to enhance their overall dining experience.
  • Process beverage and food orders accurately using the Point-of-Sale system.
  • Ensure guests receive prompt, friendly, and attentive service throughout their visit.
  • Verify guest identification and comply with all Michigan liquor laws and responsible alcohol service requirements.
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and professionally refuse service when appropriate.
  • Work closely with servers, cooks, and managers to ensure smooth, efficient service during busy meal periods.
  • Prepare garnishes, stock beer, liquor, wine, mixers, glassware, and supplies before each shift.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar throughout the shift.
  • Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and cash-handling procedures accurately.
  • Assist with inventory counts and communicate product shortages to management.
  • Promote Resort amenities, events, entertainment, golf, dining specials, and upcoming activities whenever appropriate.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude while supporting fellow associates throughout the operation.
  • Assist with special events, banquets, tournaments, weddings, and Resort functions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant, resort, or bar preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and classic cocktails.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with the ability to build rapport with guests.
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and professional during busy service periods.
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills.
  • Experience with Point-of-Sale systems preferred.
  • Current ServSafe Alcohol Certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Reach, bend, stoop, and carry supplies throughout the shift.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
