What You'll Do
Pursuit Strategy & Interview Coaching
  • Develop awareness of client organizations, decision-maker profiles, market forces, project drivers, and competitive positioning to inform messaging and differentiation. Translate insights into actionable recommendations for pursuit teams.
  • Guide teams in developing strong interview strategies aligned with client priorities, competitive landscape, and Page, now Stantec's, design perspective.
  • Craft messaging frameworks, win themes, narratives, and interview agendas tailored to pursuit strategy.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Pursuits, and Technical teams to align interview voice with written proposal messaging.
  • Coach pursuit teams and individuals preparing for shortlist interviews, elevating message clarity, delivery confidence, team chemistry, and audience connection through Page, now Stantec's, proven process.
  • Provide real-time feedback during rehearsals and facilitate working sessions that strengthen both content and delivery.
  • Model the presence, clarity, and storytelling behaviors you teach.

Curriculum Design & Training
  • Develop training modules, workshops, and learning experiences that strengthen communication, storytelling, and interview skills across the office and firmwide.
  • Facilitate sessions that build confidence and capability in individuals and teams.
  • Create toolkits, guides, and resources to equip others to coach and communicate effectively.

Internal & External Facilitation
  • Support other Storytelling team initiatives when not supporting a pursuit, including internal communication projects and organizational storytelling efforts.
  • Assist with external client engagements requiring facilitation, coaching, or communication strategy.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Performing Arts, Film, English Literature, Journalism, Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in communication coaching, storytelling, teaching, pursuit strategy, learning design, corporate coaching, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach technical professionals and assess team dynamics.
  • High emotional intelligence, with training or experience using EQ-i, DISC, or other validated assessment tools.
  • Demonstrated experience developing messaging frameworks, narratives, win themes, and strategic communication content.
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to synthesize insights quickly and translate them into strategy.
  • Superior writing and messaging skills, with a proven ability to simplify complex ideas.
  • Creative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with dynamic personalities and varied leadership styles.
  • Experience designing, planning, and facilitating workshops and training programs.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines tied to pursuits.
  • Familiarity with an integrated design mindset.

Helpful Additional Skills
  • Experience in video production, broadcast journalism, podcasting, or live performance.
  • On-camera coaching or media training experience.
  • Ability to support scriptwriting, content creation, or multimedia storytelling.

Pay Range:
• Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA areas-$92,900.00 - $134,600.00 Annually
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
