Job description

We are hiring for one remaining Summer Camp Director position in Brooklyn for Summer 2026.
NY Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is seeking a Summer Camp Director in Brooklyn, NY to lead our youth baseball and softball camp program during the summer season.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing daily camp operations, managing staff, ensuring camper safety, and delivering an exceptional experience for campers and families. The Summer Camp Director serves as the on-site leader and is responsible for setting the tone, culture, and energy of camp each day.
This position is ideal for experienced educators, coaches, youth program leaders, camp directors, athletic directors, recreation professionals, and individuals with experience managing teams and working with children.
Compensation & Schedule
Compensation: $1,400-$1,600 per week
Must be available the following weeks to work in Brooklyn at Prospect Park:
  • JULY 6-10
  • JULY 13-17

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all daily camp operations and logistics
  • Supervise, motivate, and develop a team of 10-15 camp coaches and staff
  • Create and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive camp culture
  • Ensure campers receive a high-quality experience every day
  • Conduct daily staff meetings and communicate expectations clearly
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and families
  • Manage attendance, reporting, and camp communications
  • Address camper, parent, and staff concerns professionally and effectively
  • Execute NY Mets Camps operational standards and procedures
  • Foster accountability, teamwork, and professionalism among staff
