Summer Camp Site Director - Manhattan & New Jersey | Youth Baseball Camps (NY Mets Camps)
NY Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring a Summer Camp Site Director to lead youth baseball and softball camps across Manhattan, NY and New Jersey locations during the 2026 summer season.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing daily camp operations, managing staff, ensuring camper safety, and delivering a top-tier youth sports experience. The Site Director serves as the on-site leader and is accountable for creating a positive, structured, and professional camp environment each day.
About the Role
NY Mets Camps provides the training, curriculum, and operational support - you bring the leadership, energy, and accountability that ensure campers leave with improved skills, new friendships, and a love of the game.
You will manage a team of 10+ coaches and staff, oversee camp execution, and serve as the primary point of contact for parents and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all daily camp operations across assigned locations
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of 10+ staff members
  • Ensure a safe, structured, and engaging camp environment
  • Execute Mets Camps operational standards and curriculum
  • Run staff meetings and set daily expectations
  • Communicate professionally with parents and headquarters
  • Address challenges in real time with strong decision-making
  • Support pre-season efforts including hiring, training, and logistics

Schedule & Locations
This is a 5-week seasonal position (Monday-Friday, ~9 hours/day)
You must be available to work at the following locations:
  • July 13-17: Manhattan, NY (North Meadow Ballfields)
  • July 20-24: West Windsor, NJ (West Windsor Little League)
  • July 27-31: Manhattan, NY (Heckscher Ballfields)
  • August 3-7: North Caldwell, NJ (Liberty Field)
  • August 10-14: Millburn, NJ (Gero Park)

Reliable transportation is required for travel between locations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1+ year experience managing teams or staff
  • Familiarity with baseball fundamentals
  • Experience working with youth (ages 4-13 preferred)
  • Comfortable using technology for operations and communication
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
  • Available for pre-season training and onboarding
