Mets Baseball & Softball Camps Coach/Counselor

Mets Baseball Camps is now hiring Coaches for our summer youth baseball and softball camps throughout the tri-state area.

Mets Summer Camps is looking for summer camp coaches in the tri-state area who are energetic, positive, and who love to inspire our youth to make good choices and be accountable for their actions and decisions - all while having a great time! We provide the equipment, training, and curriculum. You provide the leadership that will help our campers have a wonderful learning experience and leave camp with a love of the game, new friends, better baseball/softball skills, and an appreciation for the importance of personal accountability.

We have a number of different positions available for our baseball and softball camps - from Coach to Site Director - and we need a variety of coaching skill levels to enhance the experience for ages 4 through 13.

We are looking for team members who:

  • Have experience working with children ages 4-13

  • Have experience coaching and/or playing baseball/softball at a high school level or higher

  • Have a passion for teaching and providing quality leadership in an engaging and energetic way

  • Are able to connect with children both one-on-one and in a group setting

  • Lead by example with strong character, integrity, and a positive attitude

  • Are dependable and reliable; someone we can count on to be there, no matter what.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe camp environment for all campers

  • Manage and motivate campers to have fun each day of camp

  • Execute New York Mets Baseball Camps Curriculum daily, under the direction of the Site Director

  • Provide feedback and suggestions during drills and games

  • Highlight teachable moments for campers to learn and grow from

  • Work together with other team members from various backgrounds to uphold the Mets Baseball Camps stellar reputation

Qualifications for all coaching positions:

  • Be prepared to make a commitment Monday-Friday for approximately eight hours per day, preferably for a minimum 3-5 week commitment
    • Mets Baseball & Softball Camps run every week from June 15, 2026 to August 21, 2026

  • Be prepared to travel to each site with reliable transportation of your own

  • Be able to pass a comprehensive background screening

Our Interview Process:

After your application is submitted, here is what you can expect next:

  1. Receive an invitation to complete a one-way interview

  2. Complete a 15 minute virtual interview with our recruiter

  3. Final decision!

Compensation:

Pay is based on skill level and experience.

  • Professional Educator: $23.00/hour - Please note you must have at least 1 school year of paid teaching experience and/or provide proof of teaching certification in order to be eligible for this hourly wage.
  • Coach: $19.00/hour - Please note you must have at least 2 years of professional coaching experience in baseball or softball or another sport

  • College Student/Recent Graduate:$17.25/hour
