Interns may assist in designing, coding, testing, and debugging games or interactive applications using Unity. This role often involves learning from experienced developers, contributing to ongoing projects, and building a portfolio of work. It's a valuable opportunity to apply academic knowledge, develop technical skills, and understand the workflow of professional game development teams.

What types of projects and tasks can I expect to work on during a Unity Game Engine internship?

As a Unity Game Engine intern, you'll typically work on a mix of hands-on game development tasks such as prototyping gameplay features, debugging code, and optimizing performance. Interns often collaborate with designers, artists, and senior developers to implement assets, refine mechanics, and test new features. You'll likely use C# scripting within Unity and participate in team meetings or code reviews, which provide valuable learning opportunities. This exposure helps you build practical skills and understand the full game development pipeline.

Job description

The opportunity
Unity is looking for a sharp, data-driven SEM leader to own and scale our paid search programs across our B2B and B2C product lines. This is a high-impact, highly visible role sitting within our GTM Marketing org, working closely with integrated marketing, product, commerce and revenue teams to drive pipeline and growth through search.
You'll lead strategy and execution for paid search - and collaborate cross-functionally with teammates running adjacent paid channels to ensure a cohesive, full-funnel approach.
What you'll be doing
  • Own SEM strategy, execution, and optimization across Google and Bing - including keyword strategy, bidding, ad copy, landing page alignment, and budget management
  • Build and manage campaigns across multiple business units with distinct audiences and goals
  • Define and report on SEM KPIs; translate performance data into actionable insights for marketing and business stakeholders
  • Partner closely with performance marketing teammates on integrated paid media strategy - contributing your search expertise to broader channel planning conversations
  • Work with content, demand gen, and product marketing to ensure message consistency from search ad to landing page
  • Stay current on search trends, platform changes, and AI-driven search shifts (SGE, etc.) and bring those perspectives to the team

What we're looking for
  • 5-8 years of hands-on SEM experience, with at least 2 years in both a B2B and B2C environment
  • Deep expertise in Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising; strong grasp of attribution, bidding strategies, and campaign architecture
  • Comfortable working with data - you can pull your own reporting, identify trends, and tell a clear story to stakeholders
  • Familiarity with paid social and programmatic ecosystems; you don't need to own them, but you know how search fits into the broader paid mix
  • Strong communicator who works well in cross-functional, fast-moving environments
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms (Salesforce, Eloqua, or similar) a plus
  • Experience with Semrush, Profound, SA360
