Special Air Missions Group (SAM) is responsible for developing and delivering Metreaโ€™s Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Special Mobility, and Aerial Firefighting (AFF) capabilities. Position Summary

The Maintenance Planner is responsible to the Head of Maintenance for the effective planning of scheduled maintenance and support to unscheduled maintenance events. The Maintenance Planner will work closely with the Head of MX, CAMO, and SC&L ( supply chain and logistics ) to ensure the sites have everything required for the timely completion of MX and aircraft RTS (Return to Service)events. This position requires a deep knowledge of approved aircraft maintenance plans/inspection requirements, aircraft MX requirements, approved aircraft data, engineering requirements, and approved parts documentation. An aircraft Airframe and Powerplant license is required, and an IA (inspection authorization) is preferred.

What Youโ€™ll Do
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning scheduled maintenance events for deployed aircraft in coordination with the associated site. They will receive the SOW (statement of work) from the CAMO for the scheduled maintenance that needs to be performed on a specific aircraft. Then the MX Planner will ensure the site has the parts required, any engineering, tooling, and manpower to perform this MX. Minimizing downtime is paramount. The MX planner will also ensure the timely delivery of AOG parts to site, including special tooling and engineering, as required, to complete the MX. This job requires a vast knowledge of the King Air 350 and a working knowledge of the Challenger 605 business jet. A vast knowledge of scheduled maintenance plans/inspection requirements, including TLIs (time limited items), is required. The Maintenance Planner will report directly to the SAM US Head of Maintenance and will continually keep them informed of the MX progress.

  • 10+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • Vast King Air 350 knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of the Challenger 605
  • Airframe and Powerplant license required. IA (inspection authorization) preferred.
