Job description

Position Title: Junior Associate Attorney
Salary Range: $110,000-$120,000 / DOE
Build your litigation career with a respected national firm that will train you, challenge you, and invest in your long-term success. This opportunity is ideal for a newly licensed California attorney or junior associate who wants meaningful hands-on experience without the churn-and-burn culture common in litigation. You will join an established insurance litigation practice, receive direct mentorship from an experienced managing partner, and gradually take ownership of cases from initial evaluation through resolution.
Junior Associate Attorney Responsibilities
  • Support attorneys with project-based litigation work while developing the skills needed to manage cases independently
  • Assist with insurance defense and insurance subrogation matters involving carrier clients
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses and correspondence
  • Participate in discovery, hearings, depositions and trial preparation
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts and other parties
  • Maintain organized case files, calendars and deadlines across a high-volume caseload
  • Develop the ability to manage cases from initial assignment through resolution
  • Accurately record billable time and maintain current case information in ProLaw

Junior Associate Attorney Requirements
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
  • Newly licensed attorney or one to two years of legal experience
  • Prior clerkship, internship or practical litigation experience
  • Strong legal research, writing and analytical abilities
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Benefits
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Associate bonus pool based on firm profitability, billable hours, and individual performance
  • Origination compensation equal to 5% of collected fees generated, with higher percentages considered for attorneys bringing an established book of business
  • Unlimited paid time off
  • Nine paid holidays

If you are ready to build real litigation experience with a firm that values mentorship, accountability, and life outside the office, apply today!
