JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Plant Science is seeking a candidate to serve as a teaching assistant for approximately 6 to 10 hours of work per week during the fall 2026 semester for HORT 169N.

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Grading assignments, answering emails from students, as well as other duties as assigned by the supervising instructor.

Preference will be given to full-time registered Penn State students who have successfully completed the course for which they will be assisting.Additional preference for students who can serve in the position for two (2) or more consecutive semesters. Must pass standard background check.

Compensation:

The starting rate for this job is $10.50/ hour.
